We’re waiting to publish Automation to the official WP.org repository, but there is an 80 days long waiting queue (at the time of writing, October 2023). Meanwhile, you can install the plugin by downloading the zip and following the simple steps below. After the first installation, updates will work as usual, with no more complications.
Step 1. Download the ZIP package
Save it to your PC, you’ll use it a bit later. Do not extract the ZIP content, is not necessary. Anyway, if you want to look at the code you’ll find well-organized and easy-to-understand PHP files.
The file name should be automation.zip.
Step 2. Upload the package from your plugin management panel
Open the plugin management panel in your blog, you’ll see something similar to the picture below.
Press the “Add New” button you can see near the page title “Plugins”. You see a new page like the one below.
Once again, press the “Upload Plugin” button you have on top of the page, neat the “Add Plugin” title. The upload area should show up.
Use the “Choose File” to select the downloaded package from your PC, its name is automation.zip.
Proceed to install it following the instructions provided by WP and then activate the plugin. Automation should be listed as “active” in your plugin list.
That’s all. Now you can configure Automation.
